Every session — initial assessment or follow-up — is available either as an in-home mobile visit or a virtual (video call) session, at the same rate. Direct billing offered for ICBC, WorkSafe BC, and most private/extended insurance plans.
Recovering from an accident or workplace injury can make travelling to appointments difficult. Shuswap Physiotherapy brings individualized physiotherapy directly to your home, making it easier to access treatment while you recover.
We provide physiotherapy for eligible people injured in motor vehicle accidents. Treatment takes place in your home, so you can focus on your recovery instead of getting to a clinic.
For eligible claims, treatment is billed directly to ICBC. What is covered is determined by ICBC based on your individual claim, so your ICBC adjuster is the best person to confirm coverage details.
We accept eligible WorkSafeBC clients. Mobile physiotherapy can help if travelling to a clinic is difficult after a workplace injury.
In-home treatment. Brady comes to you — treatment takes place in your home, not at a clinic.
For eligible claims, billing is coordinated directly with WorkSafeBC. Coverage is decided by WorkSafeBC based on your individual claim, so your WorkSafeBC case manager can confirm what applies to you.
If you have private insurance through your employer or an individual benefits plan, direct billing is available for many major extended health insurance providers, including Blue Cross and GreenShield, where supported by your plan.
Not sure if your insurance plan is supported? Contact Brady before your appointment and he can help you determine whether direct billing is available.
No, a doctor’s referral is not needed to book an appointment with Shuswap Physiotherapy. In most cases, you can book directly. Occasionally, a particular extended health insurance plan may ask for one before it will reimburse physiotherapy, so if you’re unsure, a quick call to your insurance provider will confirm.
Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for a portion of your physiotherapy appointment. If your plan covers the full cost, you may not have anything to pay at the time of your visit. Any portion not covered by your insurance provider remains your responsibility.
Travel time and mileage fees may apply to mobile appointments when the therapist lives more than 20 km from your home. Any applicable travel charges can be discussed when booking your appointment.
